LED Lighting Products
We light up every room we enter!
In the commercial space, lighting is hugely important. From employees being able to see their work accurately regardless of the time of day or weather, to Health and Safety. Really though, getting the most light as economically as possible is the game. While in a household, the savings in your electricity bill might not outweigh the ambience of an incandescent bulb, but if you’re running a full-size industrial facility it matters a lot.
LED Lighting has a range of products and options to suit absolutely any application, and we stock, supply and install the vast majority. From massive output panel LED lighting required for plants and warehouses, to flood lighting in loading docks and truck marshalling yards, to precision lighting systems in the health sector. We like lights, and we know a lot about them. How does that benefit you? Tell us what you want to do and we’ll offer you a number of solutions that’ll meet those goals, and then make it happen.
Heat, Light & Efficiency
Technology is always advancing, and sometimes it takes a massive leap forward. While LEDs aren’t necessarily a new thing, they’ve been around for a while now, they haven’t completely taken over. Governments are however, making a real push to phase out other types of lighting, particularly halogen and fluorescent, in favour of LED systems- and this is for a good reason.
Most people are already aware that LEDs are far more efficient and will save you ridiculous amounts of money when compared to their traditional counterparts, but why this is the case isn’t always obvious. Basically, the difference in technology means that more energy is needed to cause the same level of brightness, because so much is actually wasted as heat. LEDs are on average, half as hot as halogen/incandescent bulbs, and 20% cooler than CFL bulbs.
To put it all the way into perspective, the average cost of a 60 watt incandescent bulb, over a 10 year period, is $90. A replacement LED bulb, producing the same amount of light, will cost approximately $18 over 10 years. If you’re running an office or a warehouse, consider for a moment how many lights there are in your building. Now do some quick maths- here’s our phone number.
LED Lighting For Healthcare
While bright lights that make your bedroom seem like a hospital can be a major turn off, when you ARE in a hospital LED really is the only solution. They’re cheaper, more effective, and importantly generate far less heat. In the operating room, it’d be crazy to have lamps running incandescent bulbs- you’d need an industrial freezer unit just to keep the place at compliant temperatures!
While that’s a bit of a silly example, the truth remains that LEDs are the only acceptable light source in operating rooms for a reason. Hospitals with thousands of light fixtures that aren’t all upgraded to LEDs are literally burning through money. It may seem like a high initial cost to have them all changed, however the quicker it’s done the less money is wasted in the long run, and the quicker they can pay themselves off in saved electricity costs.
Here’s a good one, how many electrical contractors Perth does it take to change every light bulb in a hospital? Just one- Scott Comms (+ employees!). Leave it to us, and let us make sure your lighting solutions are up to date, efficient and not wasting you money.
Preventing False Alarms
The only thing worse than burning your toast in the morning is setting the fire alarm off too! Save yourself the hassle of being late to work because you were waving a tea towel in the air and call Scott Comms to install your alarms in the correct position. This means away from appliances producing heat like ovens and toasters, and away from windows and doorways. In the event of a real fire, open windows and fans may prevent real smoke from reaching the alarms. Our electrician Perth team will install your smoke alarms in the correct position and provide a Safety Certificate to comply with government laws.
